FJ Benjamin Warehouse Sale 2014

So.... seems like it had been quite a while since I updated my blog. It's because of....(comes out with a bunch of excuse).. Sorry everyone, actually I have been busy with my work and my boyfriend :p

Anyway, I just went to FJ Benjamin Warehouse Sales at Viva Home today.

I guess this is a heaven for people (especially girls :p) who loves shopping at a great discount!

There are brands like GUESS, GAP, Raoul, Banana Republic, La Senza etc.

Ta-daaa!!! These are my shopping haul for the day!! *and yes, i'm officially broke again T__T*

How much did I spent for all these? Total damage: RM610. (But it's totally worth it)

Below I'll briefly let you guys know what to expect.

I love GUESS heels to the max! After I got my first GUESS heels few years ago, I've never regret and I've always love their heels since then. Why? It's pretty and durable. Trust me when I say it's durable, because I wear em to party, clubbing, and even shuffles in them.

They have arranged the shoes according to size per table, so it's easy to know whether which design is available for the size.

How much for GUESS shoes? It's RM160 for two. (Usual price is at least RM200 and above for ONE)

There's heels from RAOUL as well, and it's cheaper than GUESS.

Next stop, I went to La Senza section as they just announced a special hourly sale. Yes, they have special hourly sales. They have separate each size in different table as well. There are different prices, and it can go to as low as RM10 for one bra. There's panties and sleepwear as well, but I didn't get any of those.

Got these 3 for RM90. (Not sure about the normal price cause I dont usually shop at La Senza)

Moving on, most of the items are apparels. For apparels, there's GUESS, GAP, Raoul, and Banana Republic. Raoul mostly are office apparels, so i didn't check it out. Others, there are dresses, tops, jeans, office apparels, and accessories.

There's buy one free one, RM60 for 2, RM100 for 2 etc etc.

Below I got a pair of GUESS jeans for RM150 (Original price is RM500, and I actually wanted to buy this a while back! :D), and 2 GAP jeans for RM100.

They have Buy 1 free 1 for Banana Republic tops. If one of the top is RM50, another is RM30, then the cheaper ones would be the free one.

And I got both of these GUESS tops for RM60.

There's GAP kids apparels as well.

Another section which I didn't mention is watch section. I wasn't looking for a watch, do I didn't check it out as well. Plus there are a lot of people standing around the table. There are bags as well, and it's quite cheap, but... I've just asked my sis to get me a bag recently so I didn't look at the bags as well.

Most importantly!! The sale has not ended yet! It's until tomorrow (25th May 2014).

Venue: Viva Home Expo Hall 2
Time: 10.00am to 7.00pm

p/s: if you're bringing your bag, they will wrap it up with a big plastic bag at the entrance.

For more information, check out this website.

Don't overspend like me k :p

Corset Me

A corset is a close-fitting piece of clothing that has been stiffened by various means in order to shape a woman’s torso to conform to the fashionable silhouette of the time.

How to wear a corset:

Always remember to unloosen the ties before you don on your corset or unsnap the front studs.

If it is front big hook, then aligned the corset and wrap around your body. The hooks are usually to be latched on from right to left stud. Start from the second last at the bottom and work your way up then only adjust the last hook. After that you can pull your ties at the back.

If it is the small hooks, it can be at your left side or in the middle. Best hook up from the bottom and not hook down. Keeping your fingers always tapered onto the edge of your corset and work your way up.

If it is zipped-up, just loosen ties and once zipped up pull your ties at the back.

If it is just a tie-up corset then loosen the ribbons with both the loop on either side tied in dead knot before you wiggle top down into the corset and finish if off by pulling the ties at your back.

If your friend is tying the ties for you, ensure that they do not tie you up too tight till you can’t breathe or that
the corset fabric is overstretched as at a breath, you may rip the corset.

How to maintain a corset:

-          Hand wash the corset in lukewarm water with a mild non-biological detergent.

-          Rinse thoroughly.

-          No not wring but pat dry gently with a towel, then stretch gently to regain its original shape.

-          To dry, hang your corset horizontally across a coat hanger or back of a chair, or lay it flat on an airer. Dry away from direct heat otherwise your corset fabric may shrink.

-          Do not let it stay damp for too long as that will damage the steel bones or hooks or studs.

-          If necessary, apply cool setting ironing on the reversed side of the corset.

-          Do not risk on dry cleaning. After each wear, allow corset to air out for a while before hanging it back to the closet.

-          Corset are best worn over another slip, blouse, vest, top or dress to avoid having to wash it too often as that is not recommended.

Check out their Facebook page for the various selections of corsets.

Tips when you are in a Cinema or want to watch a movie

As everyone knows, cinema is a place for us to catch the latest movie (or not so latest cause some are released in other countries months ago), together with your friends and family. Add in some snacks and popcorns and drinks, PERFECT!

These tips, is for you people, to be careful. Of course it's also applied to any where else where it involves money transaction.

First of all, when you go for movies, you'll need a movie ticket. If you didn't purchased it online, or booked online, you'll have to queue.

First tip: Plan ahead

Doesn't apply to you if you're the type that are spontaneous. It's always better and more convenient if you have booked the tickets earlier, or better yet, purchased the tickets earlier (if you have credit card). You can avoid the long queue, and don't have to worry about sitting right in front of the screen. OR, if you don't want to book or purchase it online, you can always buy the tickets one or few days earlier, especially if you are planning to watch a movie on a weekend or during a public holiday.

Next, for those who don't prefer to book or purchase tickets online.

Second tip: Check schedule

Those who have a smart phone or internet access through mobile phone, check the screening schedule and be there earlier to queue. Get your tickets in the morning, because normally the queue in the morning is not as long as the queue in the afternoon or night (during weekends or public holidays).

Finally, you're there at the ticket counter.

Third tip: Check everything, double check again

Check what? Check the date, the time, the movie, and the seats. Is everything correct? Pay money, and you're off. HOLD ON!! Did you checked on the ticket price? If it's a ladies day, did the staff gave you the ladies price (if you're a lady, or girl, or female) or the normal price? Students, usually student price applies for movies before 6pm on a weekday (But not all movies tho). Last of all, how much did you just payed the staff? RM50? or RM100? How much is the balance that the staff should pays you back? Most common mistakes? Let's say your total ticket price is RM 22. If you paid RM50, you'll get back RM 28. Simple maths right? Look at the notes on your hand and start counting. Enough said. Oh! And always count your balance at the ticket booth before you walk away.

Fourth tip: Combos / Sets at snacks bar

So, you got your tickets, before entering the hall, you decided to grab a snack and a drink. If you're with your friends, get a combo or set. It's always cheaper if all of you share out instead of buying separately. If there's a screen at the counter for you to see what you have order, LOOK AT IT! It's not a decoration, it's for you to know what you have ordered. After finishing order, look carefully whether the order is correct or not. Look at the screen again, make sure there are no additional order that you or the staff left out. Oh wait! Did you order separately or combo? The prices for each and everything is listed on the board. Finally, double check you balance again.

Fifth tip: After finish movie

Yay! Movie finished, rolling credits. Stand up, walk out. Now, most of the people put their handphones in their pocket. It's actually quite easy to drop out. Always check your pockets, see whether your wallet, your phones, your belongings are still with you. You may never get it back if you dropped it inside the cinema. Either somebody who are dishonest is gonna pick it up and declare it as their own, or if you're lucky, you'll get it back.

The tips are pretty common, but most of the people just don't really bother about it. AND, there are actually hidden tips in it, don't really get it? scroll it up and read word by word. See what I keep mentioning from time to time. These are tips so that you people can enjoy better when you're watching a movie in a cinema, no intention of defaming anyone. I don't wanna get sued by some what ever company for defaming them

Christmas present for guys

Christmas is coming soon. VERY soon as it's less than a week.

Those who are attached, especially girls, will be thinking hard on what to get for their partner. There's a reason on why I'm writing this. It's because it's kinda hard for us girls to get a present for guys. There are very limited choices. For girls, you can always get them jewelry, bags, clothes, lingerie, plush toys, or for some, gadgets and etc etc. For girls, there are way too much choices. However for guys, well, there's only perfumes, clothes, wallet, belt, clothes, gadgets maybe, and again, clothes, well, that's all i guess.

I've asked some of my guy friends what do they want to get for Christmas. Most of them replied me with all kinda gadgets like:

Iphone

PS3

IPad

Camera (I like this! Hehe)

For those guys who are still single and adorable, well, they asked for chicks / gf / lover / partner.

Wulala~~ I'm sure every guy wants a hot girlfriend, but there's a limited of hot chicks on Earth. Here's a little tip for guys as Christmas present. If you guys really want a true and real girlfriend, DON'T just sit there and think "I wonder if she would go out with me" in your head, ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS. There is no harm of asking, and who knows, she might say YES, right? If you just sit there and think to yourself, well, you already give a NO to yourself before even trying. So guys, be courageous. I did not ask you to just walk up to a random girl and say, "Hi! can I have your number?" Go do some homework by googling up some nice pick up lines, not lame one tho. (Etc: Have I seen you before?) Or get creative, look around you, I'm sure you can think of one easily. But of course, before you take action, observe carefully first before you approach. You don't wanna end up getting beaten up by some muscular bodyguards-looking bf.

Rawr! He's HOT! By the way, this is Tarik Kaljanac, the winner for Mister Universe Model 2010.

Anyway, girls, if you're still thinking what to get for your partner / boy friends, try looking around in shops that sell gadgets, OR you can still stick to same old clothes, perfumes, etc etc.

Merry Christmas everyone!

From stone to Jade

This is available in China. I got this online, and purpose of posting this up is to warn people about it. I shall not talk more and let the pictures do the talking.

These are all actually stones. Colorless solid rock.

Strong Acid and various radioactive chemical are used to soak the above stones for half a month.

After soaking in those chemicals for half a month, voilà !!

Now, to add some coloring on it.

Then, it will be put into a high pressure vacuum plastic injection machine (kinda get it from Google translate as the original words are in Chinese, it's called 真空高压注胶机). And again, used a lot of toxic chemicals during the process.

The process takes a few days to be completed.

Now what do we have here. It doesn't look like stones anymore, does it? Looks exactly like Jade!

It's time for the final process, getting victims to buy the so-called Jade in the market. Market price will be around 70,000 to 80,000 yuan.

Moral of the story, don't buy something which you think it's way too cheap from the original price. You'll never know what you actually bought home. This so-called jade will eventually bring bad news to your body as it is full of radioactive and toxic chemicals. So please be careful whenever you go for a trip to China.
