Liar + bitch + wardrobe = ?

You probably gonna think this is a post on some gossips. Unfortunately, nope. It's about a book which I've been reading recently. Just finished it last night. It's called The Liar, The Bitch and The Wardrobe by Allie Kingsley.

Bought it cause I like the title.

"If you're going to step on people on your way to the top, you might as well do it in stilettos.. "

Yeap, that's what caught my attention too. Mainly cause I love stilettos :p

Here's a picture of the lovely author, Allie Kingsley. So pretty :)

Back to the book. It's about a girl who goes to Hollywood for her dream job of working with a world famous fashion photographer. Hollywood, where all the glams are. It didn't went well in the beginning. But, she believes in her passion, striving hard for what she loves. Slowly, she starts to fit in, starts to hang out with celebrities. Think it is so awesome to hang out with all the famous people? Think again. It is the easiest way to lose yourself when you are constantly over exposed / involved / indulged in all these luxuries, if you couldn't control and get hold of yourself. It can easily swallowed the whole of you if you're not cautious enough, and you'll be lost.

Sometimes you're just so comfortable getting all the attentions that you have been dreaming of getting, that you didn't even realize that you are not you anymore. You start to become the one person that you hate the most. You'll be doing all the things that you hate seeing people do.

It is you who choose your path. Nobody can force you into a path that you don't want to go. It's all about the choices that you make when you are at a crossroad. However, if you did chose the wrong path and you know it, try your best to make things right again, and who knows, you'll be able to route back to the path that you've missed, with extra experiences as a bonus (always think positive ;)). Don't ever regret about what had happened in the past. It happened for a reason.

Here's an interview with the author regarding the book. :)

Recommended read to get things off your mind once in a while, and also if you're interested to know more about Hollywood. Well of course not as a travel destination, but about the dramas that may or may not have happened there. (it's all up to you on whether you wanna believe in all these things anyway)
